I was so excited when Universal Studios announced Mardi gras was BACK this year! In 2020 we enjoyed a few concerts before the parks were shut down due to covid. Last year Universal did have a partial Mardi Gras festival- food booths were up and running but there was no parade or concerts. This year- we are back in full swing! This means CONCERTS, PARADES, AND FOOD FOOD FOOD GALORE!! Universal Studio’s Mardi Gras is back!

Concert Schedule
Here is Universal’s main Mardi Gras website where you can check out ALL the latest concert line ups! :https://www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/things-to-do/events/mardi-gras
I honestly can’t decide which concert I’m looking forward to the most! Marhmello looks great- but so does Jason Derulo and Gavin Degraw! AND Universal hasn’t even RELEASED April’s schedule yet!
We saw Sugar Ray perform this year- and Universal did a great job with crowd control. They blocked off the “street” so there was a path for everyone who wanted to cut out but we were still able to see the concert from all angles.

FOOD
The food is AMAZING this year. Universal pulled out all the stops. There ARE soooo many booths. The King Cake/ beignets are definitely the most popular- but you can get them in a few different locations. Nashville Hot Chicken outside of Fast and Furious is also a very popular booth. They had regular hot chicken as well as Nashvile Hot chicken with Mac and cheese- yummy! I decided to try the conch fritters, a strawberry shortcake, and a delicious alcoholic goombay punch. All delicious! I was full after this plate. But no worries- I’ll come back to try the rest 😉

Have you been to Mardi Gras yet? What concerts are you looking forward to? What food?!
