Searching for a job can be so draining. Believe me, I spent MONTHS trying to find a job. However, I am here to help! I’d love to pass along some of my tips and tricks for what worked for me during my job search.
Job Search Tips and Tricks
Keep your resume updated.
This is so important! When you start looking for a job, it can feel overwhelming to sit down and update your resume. Keeping your resume updated can mean you just need to do a quick check when you’re ready to job search rather than having to do a complete overhaul!
Check out Indeed’s career guide.
Indeed has a HUGE amount of free resources. They have resume and cover letter templates for SO many different types of jobs, plus advice on how to obtain those jobs!

Network
Check in with your friends, former colleagues, and connections on your social networks to see if they are hiring or know of any open roles. They might even be able to connect you with one of THEIR connections!
Keep Organized
When I was applying to jobs, I kept records for every job I applied for- the date, title, etc. Any information I knew about the role. This way if I was called for an interview, I was prepped and ready! Always make sure you keep notes of the recruiter or hiring manager’s name if it’s listed on the application. This way, you can address your cover letter to them personally- and ensure you’re addressing any follow-ups to the right person! It shows you’re paying attention and you care about details.
These are just some of my tips and tricks. Check back here for more tips and tricks soon!
